FREE Parenting Service

Exciting New Free Parental Support Service Launch – Monday 30th March 2020

Sheelagh O’Grady and Aoife Ryan are Parent/Relationship Mentors. We trained together in University College, Cork and both obtained first class honours HDip in Parent/Relationship Mentoring (Level 8). Our professional accreditation is with the Irish Association of Relationship Mentors. In our practice we offer one to one parental therapy and group workshops.

Our approach is non-judgmental, kind, compassionate and loving. We work from a person-centered perspective, always keeping the client (the individual or the organisation) at the heart of our work. We understand that parental wellbeing plays a critical part in the wellbeing of families. We are passionate about supporting parents in all aspects of parenting, both the challenges and the joys, thereby improving the health and wellbeing of all family members.

We now find ourselves in new and uncharted territory with the arrival of COVID19 and all that has come with it. Every day we are hearing from parents who are stressed, worried, and feeling anxious. They are struggling with this new set of circumstances, and it’s a juggling act for all!

Parents of small children, tweens and teenagers are all experiencing difficulties including, keeping the peace among siblings, doing schoolwork, calming the nerves of children studying for exams, managing digital/social media usage and helping kids to cope with separation from friends and family members. The challenges are many and varied.

Sheelagh and Aoife would like to offer our support to parents during these challenging times. We are making ourselves available, free of charge, to parents between the hours of 10am-11am and 7pm-8pm Monday-Friday (for this acute phase of the COVID19 pandemic).

Please text Aoife or Sheelagh on the numbers below, stating whether you would like a morning or evening appointment. We will then contact you with an appointment time.

These are not parental therapy sessions, but a means of providing much-needed support during one of the most significant events in recent human history. We need to pull together, and as experienced and qualified Parent Mentors we feel this is something that we can do for the greater good.
